Terms and Conditions
Last updated: March 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all enrolments, classes, programmes, and services provided by DramaHub (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by Fiona Mogridge. By enrolling your child or participating in any DramaHub programme, you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
- Class — a scheduled speech and drama lesson, whether group, private, or workshop.
- Term Programme — a series of weekly classes running during a New Zealand school term.
- Holiday Programme — a short programme offered during school holidays.
- Private Coaching — one-on-one or paired tuition sessions.
- Parent/Guardian — the enrolling adult responsible for the student.
- Student — the child or young person enrolled in a DramaHub programme.
2. Enrolment
- Enrolment is completed by submitting an enrolment form and paying the applicable fees.
- Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- By enrolling, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you have authority to enrol the student.
- DramaHub reserves the right to decline or cancel an enrolment at our discretion.
- DramaHub may offer a free trial lesson for new students. Trial lessons are subject to availability and do not create any obligation to continue with enrolment.
- Enrolment in term programmes continues automatically from term to term. You do not need to re-enrol each term unless you wish to change classes.
- If you wish to withdraw your child from a term programme, you must provide written notice (by email to [email protected]) at least two weeks before the end of the current term. If notice is not received by this deadline, enrolment will carry forward and fees for the following term will apply.
3. Fees and Payment
- Term programme fees are payable in full before the first class of each term, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed in writing.
- Holiday programme fees are payable at the time of enrolment.
- Private coaching fees are payable before or at the time of each session.
- All prices are in New Zealand dollars and inclusive of GST (if applicable).
- Fees may be reviewed and adjusted between terms. Any changes will be communicated before the start of the next enrolment period.
- If fees are not received by the due date, a late payment fee of $50 may be charged. DramaHub will provide at least 7 days’ written notice before applying any late payment fee, and will work with families to arrange alternative payment plans where needed.
4. Cancellations, Withdrawals, and Refunds
Term Programmes
- If you withdraw before the term begins, a full refund will be provided less a $30 administration fee.
- Withdrawals after the term has begun are not eligible for a refund, except in exceptional circumstances at DramaHub’s discretion (e.g. medical reasons supported by documentation).
- If DramaHub cancels a class or programme, a pro-rata refund or credit will be offered.
Holiday Programmes
- Cancellations made 7 or more days before the programme starts will receive a full refund less a $30 administration fee.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the programme starts are not refundable.
- DramaHub reserves the right to cancel a holiday programme if minimum enrolment numbers are not met. A full refund will be provided in this case.
Private Coaching
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a private coaching session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
5. Absences
- If a student is unable to attend a class, please notify us as soon as possible.
- Missed classes are not refundable. Where possible, we may offer a make-up class at our discretion, but this is not guaranteed.
- Continued absence without notice for three or more consecutive weeks may result in the student’s place being offered to another child.
6. Student Behaviour and Code of Conduct
- Students are expected to behave respectfully towards teachers, other students, and the venue.
- Parents and guardians are also expected to behave courteously and respectfully when interacting with DramaHub staff and other families.
- DramaHub reserves the right to remove a student from a programme if their behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or in breach of these Terms. In such cases, refunds are at DramaHub’s discretion.
- Any parent, guardian, or other adult who arrives at a DramaHub venue to collect a student while appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who behaves in an intoxicated or threatening manner on the premises, may be asked to leave immediately. In such cases, DramaHub may contact an alternative emergency contact or, if necessary, the New Zealand Police. Repeated incidents may result in termination of the student’s enrolment.
7. Drop-off and Pick-up
- Parents or guardians are responsible for the drop-off and pick-up of students at the scheduled class times.
- Students should not be left at the venue more than 5 minutes before class begins.
- Students must be collected promptly at the end of class. DramaHub is not responsible for the supervision of students outside of class times.
- If a student is to be collected by someone other than the enrolling parent or guardian, please notify us in advance.
8. Health and Safety
- Parents must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, behavioural needs, or other relevant information that may affect the student’s participation. This can be provided on the enrolment form or communicated directly to DramaHub.
- Students who are unwell should not attend class. If a student becomes unwell during a class, we will contact the parent or guardian for collection.
- DramaHub will take reasonable care to provide a safe environment but is not liable for injuries that occur during normal class activities unless caused by our negligence.
- In the event of a medical emergency, DramaHub will contact emergency services and the parent or guardian as soon as practicable.
9. Child Protection and Safeguarding
- DramaHub is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care. We maintain a child protection and safeguarding policy that guides our practices and responsibilities.
- All DramaHub staff and contractors are expected to adhere to our safeguarding standards, which include appropriate conduct, supervision, and reporting obligations.
- If we have reasonable cause to believe that a child is at risk of harm, we may be required to report our concerns to the appropriate authorities in accordance with the Children’s Act 2014 (NZ) and the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 (NZ).
- A copy of our full Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy is available on request by contacting us at [email protected].
10. Photography, Video, and Media
- DramaHub may photograph or video students during classes, performances, or events for use on our website, social media, and promotional materials.
- By enrolling, you consent to the use of such images unless you notify us in writing that you do not wish your child to be photographed or filmed.
- We will not identify students by full name in any publicly shared media without separate written consent.
11. Privacy
- DramaHub collects personal information (including the student’s name, age, and contact details for the parent or guardian) for the purposes of administering enrolments, communicating about classes, and ensuring student safety.
- We will not share personal information with third parties except where required by law or with your consent.
- You have the right to access and request correction of any personal information we hold about you or your child, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
- To request access to or deletion of your data, contact us at [email protected].
12. Intellectual Property
- All materials, scripts, lesson plans, and creative content used in DramaHub classes remain the intellectual property of DramaHub.
- These materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for any commercial purpose without written permission.
13. Liability and Indemnity
- DramaHub is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to class by students.
- To the extent permitted by New Zealand law (including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993), DramaHub’s total liability in connection with any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the relevant programme or session.
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other rights that cannot be excluded by law.
- DramaHub is not responsible for any personal property lost, damaged, or left at a class venue. Unclaimed items will be held for four weeks from the date they are found. After this period, unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of without further notice.
14. Class Changes and Cancellations by DramaHub
- DramaHub may need to change class times, venues, or teachers from time to time. We will provide as much notice as possible.
- If we cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. teacher illness, venue unavailability, severe weather), we will endeavour to offer a make-up class or a pro-rata credit.
- In the event of a public health emergency or government restrictions, DramaHub may transition to online delivery where practicable. If online delivery is not possible, a refund or credit will be provided for affected classes.
15. Communication
- By enrolling, you consent to receiving communications from DramaHub via email, phone, or text message regarding class schedules, updates, and relevant information.
- You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us.
16. Disputes
- If you have a concern or complaint, please contact us at [email protected] and we will work to resolve the matter promptly.
- If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer the matter to mediation before pursuing any other legal remedy.
17. Amendments
- DramaHub may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify enrolled families of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.
- Continued enrolment after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
